Wilshire Boulevard, LA

We were thrilled to visit one of the landmarks in Scott Walker mythology, the former Vagabond cinema where Walker saw his first European films in the late 50s/early 60s.

Walker's early visits to the cinema on Wilshire Boulevard were pivotal, and the Vagabond - now the Hayworth, and home of arts venue Dynasty Typewriter (who are also Walker fans!) - was firmly in our mind as a key location. With its many ties to film - such as La La Land - it's now a location for Scott.

Exciting to fill the space with films that sparked Walker's imagination, and to imagine how these images and sounds impacted on him. It's one of the most atmospheric cinemas you could ever wish to visit.
